C07: Reclaiming the Smoke
To those with our cause in their hearts,
The Governed now know the wrath of the Dragon Samurai.
It all started when the Governed started performing military drills at the border of the Circuits, they were utterly distracted. We first led a small detachment of troops into the tunnels under the Smoke. They were able to get into position under the factory, drilling holes and packing them with EMP charges.
After they got to safety, we were able to detonate the charges, disabling a good majority of the androids. This was about the time that Jerit was performing his stand-up routine (it was god awful, I can see why he’s renowned for being a master torturer).
That EMP was our cue to push our troops from Valhalla. The bots were caught by total surprise, they didn’t stand a chance.
Once the troops made it halfway through the territory, we began pushing from the Circuits as well, completely eclipsing the Governed’s forces. From there, we were able to push all the way into the control room where we shut off the Governed’s entire robot army, turning them into nothing but scrap metal.
The Governed retreated after that, scurrying back to Atlas like rats.
From here, we have two projects we could undertake: reprogram the androids or fortify the Smoke.
Reprogramming the androids would let us use the robots in battle, we can even upgrade them in certain ways, depending on what you choose. You can choose what specific upgrades in the war-room on our Communications Server (linked below). This would be a major boon for our forces but if the Governed were to take back the factory, it could be turned against us.
Fortifying the Smoke would mean that it would be much harder for the Governed to take back the Smoke. However, this would mean that the androids won’t be up and running until after we finish fortifying the border.
