S1C1: We Know What She Meant
Greetings from the Sea of Many
We know what Dionea meant in my visions. A terror that she could only see.
Dionea wished to show me that the androids would rebel, their eyes turned purple and they turned on the Underworld Collective.
We heard everything through the spy network at Overwatch. The androids seem to be lead by a rogue AI named “KH47UN” or Khatun as most people in the know call her. They have formed a new faction called the Oasis Network. The androids have captured everyone in the Smoke and connected them to the “Organic Subnet”. We don’t know what this exactly means as it’s particularly hard to get any sort of communications in or out of the factory.
However, for now, we’ll wait and see what our options are.
As for matters concerning the Sea of Many, we have unfortunately been unable to find a cure for Dionea’s condition. The lack of water has degraded her body beyond any point of foreseeable repair.
We need to find a cure fast, we are running out of time.
Through Dionea’s delirious state, she keeps repeating that a Prophet will be born from our bodies. She has yet to reveal to us what she means by this but it seems evident that Dionea wishes for us to focus on the next generation.
From this we need to focus on the future.
We have one point of contention: Do we help the Underworld Collective?
If the Underworld Collective lose control of the Circuits, that does mean that Rivers End is now has a new enemy on its doorstep that could outright destroy the water filtration systems. However, we could use this opportunity to invade Valhalla or the rest of Rivers End while they’re distracted.
The main advantage of helping the Underworld Collective is that they could prove a useful ally against the Oasis Network, being able to attack them on two fronts from the Circuits and Valhalla. However, that’s only if we can trust them to not turn on us in future.
If we invade Valhalla or Rivers End, that would more than likely give them an excuse to break the pact and fight back. While they would be weaker because they’d be fighting on two fronts, the Underworld Collective is still a ginormous threat, they still have some access to the tunnels that allows them to transport supplies to different territories so we can’t cut them off from outside help. The gain of a new territory would be advantageous for us but is the risk worth it?
We guess that’s for you to decide.
