S1C1: Calamity and Instability

To those with our cause in their hearts,

We have had the rug pulled out from under us.

The androids have revolted. They attacked us while we were at the meeting discussing our candidates for Rivers End. They massacred the other cell leaders, I was the only one to escape.

After I escaped, we got a message on our communication channels. The message was from an AI calling itself “KH47UN”, she said that she was the founder of the Oasis Network. She told us that she wanted to expand the “Organic Subnet” and protect the factory. I can assume she means the Smoke as we lost communication with them not too soon after.

The androids have completely taken over the Smoke and are now trying to expand into the Circuits. So far they have taken the entire west side of the markets but we’ve been able to repel them so far.

That’s not our only concern at the moment. I fear that the Cultivation Society might try to attack us while we’re on the back foot. This would leave Rivers End in jeopardy.

From here we have a few options:

We can push back the androids from the Circuits. This would mean coordinating with Level 99 and Valhalla to launch a large offensive that could clear out the androids from the Circuits but could leave Valhalla vulnerable to attack from either the Oasis Network or the Cultivation Society. It might be a risk worth taking if it means that we can take back control of the Circuits.

There’s a much riskier play of invading the Smoke from Valhalla but that might mean that the androids completely retreat from the Circuits without risking Valhalla’s position. However, Valhalla doesn’t have as many troops which means that it will have to be a stealth mission which is insanely risky in our current state but it would be a complete surprise for the enemy. This could tip the scales in our favour or completely backfire.

On the other hand, we could primitively attack the Cultivation Society and take over Rivers End or the Reeds. This would break the Alliance of Fire and Vines and open the war up on two fronts. This could become disastrous, especially if the Cultivation Society gets the upper hand. It does have its benefits though, if we’re able to take Rivers End, it means that the Cultivation Society would be on the back foot if they continue to attack us.

These aren’t good options but it’s the only ones we have.
